Dato’ Frank Choo Chuo Siong
Frank is the Managing Director of Aged Care Group (ACG) & Managedcare Sdn Bhd (wholly owned business of ACG). He is also the Director of Xiao En Group. He also serves as an Advisor at the Centre of History and Contemporary Research in CHINA-ASEAN. He has completed several housing developments in East Coast of Peninsular Malaysia, which include office buildings, housing development and apartment projects in the Klang Valley. Frank is also an Independent Non-Executive Director of Pavilion Real Estate Investment Trust.
Dr. Carol Yip

Dr. Yip is the Chief Executive Officer of Aged Care Group (ACG) & Managedcare Sdn Bhd. Having more than a decade’s worth of experience in financial planning, she is one of Malaysia’s leading advocates of personal financial education and sustainable retirement for Malaysians. In 2012, Carol was appointed by PEMANDU (Performance Management & Delivery Unit) to facilitate a 5-week Senior Living lab discussion with regulators, business owners, NGOs and individuals about future plans for Malaysia’s aged care and senior living. Her current projects include helping property developers to conceptualise integrated residential care centres and active living residential units for active retirees within townships. Dr. Carol Yip’s PhD research at Monash University School of Medicine and Health Sciences is related to Malaysia’s ageing population i.e. ‘Provision of long-term care and payment options for elderly people living in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur’.

Cecilia Chan is a former banker from Deutsche Bank Malaysia Berhad, she had 37 years experiences in banking industry. Formerly from a banking background, Cecilia steps into agedcare industry after her retirement. Apart from learning new skills and knowledge, Cecilia also passionate on pass on her soft skills to the group employees.
Ir. Chew Weng Yuen
Ir. W Y Chew has more than 30 years of working experience in the construction industry and has vast experience in the design, planning, coordination and project management of constructing industrial and institutional buildings, major infrastructure works, dams, structural and civil works for the oil and gas industry, as well as the development of a commercial centre.
He also has experience working in international projects after being involved in the design of numerous building foundations for projects in Brunei Darulsalam and Myanmar.
Ir. W Y Chew is a Fellow of The Institution of Engineers, Malaysia, and a registered professional engineer with practicing certificate, with the Board of Engineers, Malaysia. He is also a Fellow of The Institution of Engineers, Australia, a Chartered Professional Engineer (Australia), and registered with the National Engineering Register of Australia. In the ASEAN region, he is registered with the ASEAN Engineering Register as an ASEAN Engineer and has an MBA in Technology Management.
With the combination of his technical skills and business knowledge, he currently spearheads project management.
ACG Concept Team
Shalini spearheads the team of ACG Concept. Her areas of experience in integrated marketing communications, stakeholder engagement, strategic planning and project management for a diverse number of industries led her to get involved in the retirement and aged care industry. Previously, she was the Head of Communications for The Federation of Investment Managers Malaysia (FIMM). Shalini was also key personnel of The Asian Banker, having provided strategic management for the centre of excellence in terms of costs and operations of The Banking Academy (The training arm of The Asian Banker).

With 12 years of experience within the design and media industry, April is passionate about expressing the subtle beauty of graceful ageing through innovative graphics and convey education on aged care interactively to her audiences. Being part of the creative team, April designs marketing collaterals and is involved in the design of 3Age portal.
Teo Wei Bin

Putting his previous graphic designing experience with a leading Chinese daily and educational institution to good use, Wei Bin is now the graphic designer for ACG Concept campaigns and 3Age portal. To increase public awareness of dementia, he spearheaded a videography competition, entitled “Remember Me”.
Marketing & Communications Executive
Having experienced at a young age the challenges of caring for the sick and elderly, Jason is passionate about investing in lives and galvanising the landscape of elderly care. Formerly from a banking background, Jason made the switch to communications to give a voice to this growing segment of the population and is currently the editor for ACG Concept’s English communications.
Melinda U is the General Manager of Managedcare Sdn Bhd (MaC), a wholly owned subsidiary of Aged Care Group (ACG). Prior to taking up her current role at MaC, Melinda headed the Strategic Partnerships & Business Development Department at ACG. Her main responsibilities include researching and developing strategic partnerships for the purpose of providing services and products for elderly care, revenue generation, promotional marketing, customer base expansion, business efficiency as well as identifying and developing revenue generation strategies for the business. Since joining ACG in 2014, she was incumbent in establishing strategic partnerships with financial institutions, pharmaceutical companies, medical centres, educational institutions and non-profit organisations to offer a wide array of opportunities towards the aged care industry.
Her current portfolio with MaC includes partnering with Rockwills Trustee and Kenanga Investment Bank on CareTrustTM (a living trust for care needs). She leads a team of healthcare professionals in launching the Care Administrator service where MaC coordinates, monitors and administrates a variety of health and long-term care service providers to ensure optimal value of care for Malaysians.
As Care Coordinator at Managedcare Sdn Bhd, Rose Mary brings with her more than 25 years of administrative experience in clinical settings.
In her present position, Rose Mary heads the customer service function, ensuring all clients are professionally attended to and have their care needs met. Having served as a client service officer in home care as well as nursing home setting over three years, she applies her well-honed problem-solving and customer engagement skills towards continuous enhancement of customer satisfaction.
Rose Mary also heads the administration function and supports the Care Managers on scheduling, inventory, databases and billings.

As the Nurse Manager, Paramjit is involved in projects where she designs the care aspect such as the model of care, the services required, human resource planning, as well as clinical care and oversees team of nurses.
Prior to her role, Paramjit was a clinical instructor and an OSCE (Objective Structural Clinical Examination) examiner with Puteri Nursing College, Kuala Lumpur, a role which she continued at Gleneagles Medical Centre, Kuala Lumpur.
She has also helped to set-up the hospital infection control programmes at both the Gleneagles Hospital Kuala Lumpur, and Prince Court Medical Centre. At Prince Court Medical Centre, Paramjit was the key liaison and contact for the comparison and bench marking of infection control surveillance with HELICS (Hospitals in Europe Link for Infection Control Surveillance) and NNIS (National Nosocomial Infection Surveillance) rates with the Medical University Vienna collaboration.
She also led nursing management and administration at unit level leading to hospital level, being actively involved in setting up and commissioning works in the private healthcare. At Gleneagles, while being in charge of the medical unit, she was also instrumental in setting up the high dependency unit and the expansion of the hospital. At Prince Court Medical Centre, she was responsible for the full works of setting up, from medical equipment planning and manpower planning to commissioning, leading to licensing as per the requirements of the Private Healthcare and Facilities Act 2012.

To’ Puan Dr Safurah bt Jaafar

With over 24 years’ experience in health services management and primary healthcare, To’ Puan Dr Safurah bt Jaafar has accomplished many significant achievements; from restructuring the Family Health system to establishing haemodialysis services in primary health care clinics. During her tenure as Director of the Ministry of Health’s Family Health Development Division, she led her team to draft and drive the Aged Healthcare Act Bill prior to her retirement in January 2017. Currently, she is the Head of Sub-Specialty for Family Health in the Academy of Medicine’s Public Health Medicine Chapter. With a string of accomplishments and passion, she now joins ACG’s Advisory Panel to develop Malaysia’s aged care ecosystem and address the nation’s ageing issues.
Professor Tan Maw Pin
Tan Maw Pin is currently Professor in Geriatric Medicine at the University of Malaya. She qualified from the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom and worked as an house officer in Derby and a Senior House Officer at the Nottingham City Hospital before moving up north to Newcastle upon Tyne to purse her higher specialist training in geriatric medicine. She worked briefly as a consultant geriatrician at the Royal Victoria Infirmary and Freeman Hospital before returning home to Malaysia. Dr Tan is also a keen researcher, and since she returned to Malaysia four years ago, is the Principal Investigator (PI) of a randomised controlled study in falls (MyFAIT) which will report in January 2015, the lead PI of the UM Grand Challenge- Promoting Independence in Our Seniors with Arthritis (PISA) and a co-PI in the Malaysian Elders Longitudinal Research (MELoR) study. Dr Tan is also the co-founder of the Ageing and Age-Associated Disorders Research group.
With 35 years in the field of banking and finance, Peter Chow’s leadership has led many businesses toward success, whilst ensuring their sustainability. He was Hong Leong Bank Berhad’s former COO in the Business & Corporate Banking division responsible for commercial & corporate lending, trade finance, liabilities management and private banking until he retired in 2014. Prior to that, he was Eon Bank Berhad’s Deputy Chief Executive Officer in Group Business & Investment Banking. He has since retirement, taken up an advisory role to Sentoria Group Berhad on corporate financial matters. He brings forth his invaluable expertise in finance to the aged care industry as a distinguished Member of ACG’s Advisory Panel.
David Ong was formally the Partner of Chooi & Co. legal firm. His practice is focused on capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, and construction and infrastructure projects. He is named as a Recommended Individual in the field of Corporate and Mergers and Acquisitions in the 2015 edition of Asia Pacific Legal 500 – The Guide to Asia’s Commercial Law Firms and a Recommended Individual by Asialaw Profiles – The Guide to Asia- Pacific’s Leading Domestic Law Firms in its 2015 edition.
David also has a keen interest in aged care related projects, and has advised on engineering procurement and construction contracts, power purchase agreements, operation and maintenance agreements, government procurements and bids for infrastructure projects. He has been named on the International Financial Law Review Energy & Infrastructure Leading Lawyers Asia Pacific list for 2014 and is one of the Recommended Lawyers in the field of Real Estate and Construction by Asia Pacific Legal 500 for 2015.
David was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Victoria, Australia in 2003 and an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court in Malaya in 2006.
